It begins...

213.3 when the scale was in the lefthand corner of the room. When it was near the door it said 216. When it was near the clothes hamper it said 213.6 So, officially, my weight today is 213.4  Not a problem were I a six foot guy. Problem: I'm 4'11.5 inches.

So I see this Functional Medicine doctor and he's the first one ever to tell me I'm insulin-resistant. "But my blood sugar is normal," I protest. "Not your blood sugar I'm measuring." Huh? Turns out blood sugar isn't THE predictor of diabetes. It's the confirmation of diabetes. Insulin resistance is the PREDICTOR of diabetes--and also why losing weight is like a hamster wheel without the exercise.

I'll explain more in a later blog. The purpose today is to proclaim publically (so I can't chicken out) that this is the beginning of my HCG 30 day diet. If I don't blog tomorrow it's because I died in my sleep. Which is why I am signing this, Misty for Chocolate.
